Obituary of Raymond Gervato

Raymond N. Gervato, age 70, passed away on July 23, 2013 at his home in Knoxville, TN. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with friends and family, especially kids because he said they kept him "young", telling stories, antique cars, food and playing video poker in Atlantic City with his best friends, Vinnie Appello and Al Casamenti and also his trips to Atlantic City with his two best gals, Mary DePalma and Brenda Qudsi-Ramzan. He is preceded by his parents, Lucy and Frank Gervato and his brothers, Frank Gervato and James Gervato. He is survived by his sister Marie Burrows, brother John Gervato, son, Gregory Gervato, Sr., daughter-in-law, Jackie Gervato, grandsons Gregory, Jr. and Matthew, his daughter Kimberlie Gervato Heinz, son-in-law, Stony Heinz, grandson Bryan Heinz and great grandchildren Landon, Maddox and Lilly, his step-son, Joseph Namik, daughter-in-law Lillian Namik, grandchildren, Joseph, Laura and Matthew, his step-daughter, Collette Laureano, son-in-law, Chris Laureano and grandchildren, Kailynn, Christopher, Angela and Lauren, his sister-in-laws, Brenda Gervato and Cyndi Gervato, nieces, Angela, Gina, and Stephanie, his nephews, Russell, Christopher, Michael, and Ray, his great-nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. His ashes will be brought to Vineland and a brief service will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E. Walnut Road in Vineland, on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. We will then have a celebration of his life at one of his favorite places, the buffet at Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. We ask that anyone who would like to join us, please meet outside the buffet at 4 p.m. on August 3, 2013.
