Obituary of Philamena D. Pendola
Philamena D Pendola of Vineland, Age 88 died peacefully Saturday morning, July 13th surrounded by her loving family.
Graduate of Vineland High School Class of 1942. Upon graduation she went to work for Limpert Brothers in Vineland, followed by work at the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Philadelphia, PA until her marriage to Jacob Pendola in June 1946. She returned to work in 1959 at Vineland Developmental Center, where she worked until her retirement in 1989(?) Throughout her life she was active in both church and civic organizations. She was a member of the Saint Rita Society of St. Joseph Church in Richland, was active in the P.T.O. at Richland School and St. Mary School and with parent organizations at St. Augustine Prep and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
Voting monitor for elections in the late 50s through the 60s while living in Richland
Member of the Women of the Moose for many years, serving in several capacities including Senior Regent for the Vineland Chapter.
Enjoyed traveling, playing cards and Bingo, and spending time with her grandchildren. Enjoyed vacations with her family at the Jersey seashore and in visiting family in Florida. Enjoyed AC Casino trips, playing cards and bingo.
Avid Phillies fan
Communicant at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church and was part of the Seniors Group.
In lieu of flowers: donations in her memory can be made to St. Padre Pio Parish or the charity of one's choice.
