Obituary
Obituary of " Carmela Cardana
"Zia" Carmela Cardana, 99, departed this life on March 25, 2013 at Bishop McCarthy Residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Cardana in 1999. She was born in Italy and was one of five daughters of Enrico and Teresa (Gallo) Fanzini. She was also predeceased by her son Paul. Zia was a kind and generous woman of great faith. She and her husband were members of St. Francis of Assisi Parish for many years. She loved her family and was always glad to have them stop by and see her. She loved sewing, cooking, gardening and was a master at crocheting, a talent that was exceptional. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her brother-in-law Victor Cardana and his wife Lucy and many nieces and nephews. Along with her family she was also loved and well taken care of by her healthcare aides and friends, Zenia, Jesika, Rosetta, Chandra and Arlene. Our gratitude to these women is overwhelming.
