Obituary of Nikolaos Kanakis

Nikolaos "Nick" Kanakis, 85, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Capital health medical Center in trenton, NJ. Nikalaos was born in Crete, Greece on December 10, 1927,. he served in the Army for 2 years as a volunteer. Upon returning, Nikolaos opened his own tailor business. In 1953, he met the love of his life, Ekaterina Loumbakis and married that same year. They had three children before moving to the United States in 1970. Nick was in the restaurant business his entire life before his retirement. He was also a member of St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church in Vineland.
