Obituary of Jamey F. Gross

Jamey "Jame" Franklin Gross, 30 years old, son of William and Judy Gross went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2006, after a long and corageous battle with brain cancer. Jamey was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and teacher. Jamey was an elementary school teacher at St. John Christian Academy, USVI and Cape Christian Academy, CMCH. Jamey was a Buena Regional High School Graduate where he played football and baseball. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Eastern University. While attending Eastern, Jamey was an all conference baseball player and team captain. We will miss his gentle spirit, joyful heart, eternal eyes, and compassion for others. Jamey's greatest gifts were his ability to make others laugh, his preserverance, his heart for mission work, and his courage amidst affliction. Jamey loved traveling, fishing, studying the Bible, sharing the Gospel, playing the guitar, and spending time with family and friends. "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2Cor. 4:17-18
