Obituary of Charles R. Zucal

Charles Robert Zucal, 67, of Millville passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009 peacefully at home. Born in Vineland to the late Charles and Helen Zucal where he was a longtime area resident. Charles was a graduate of Vineland High School in 1959. He attended Goldey-Beacom College and East Carolina University. He received a master's in Business Education. Charles was employed as an accountant for General Motors in Wilmington, DE for several years. He was a teacher at Vineland High South for 43 years teaching accounting and Business Law. Charles served as chairman of the Buisness Dept and was head of the Finance Dept. at the high school aiding clubs, organizations, and scholarship funds. He was the past president of the Goldey-Beacom Alumni Association and created the Charles Zucal Scholarship Fund to benefit students who desired an education at Goldey-Beacom College . He was a retired member of the VEA, NJEA, NEA and a past member of the Vineland Jaycees. Charles was a parishoner of St. Francis of Assissi Church for many years more recently attending St. Mary's Magdalen in Millville. He was a financial advisor to many close friends and relatives. He enjoyed working outside his home, gardening, trips to the theater in NY, watching old movies, and traveling, especially to Cape May with his wife. Charles will be sadly missed by his family, friends and students he taught.
