Obituary of Lothar Wolf

Lothar Wolf, 94, beloved father, father-in-law, and grandfather, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, of natural causes. Born in Germany and trained thereas a pastry chef, he survived the Holocaust, and in 1939 found his way to England and then to the United States. His first years in the United States were spent as a pastry chef in New York and Miami. Lothar joined the military at the start of World War II and returned to Europe as a sergeant in the U. S. Army. After the war, Lothar met and married Ilse Siegel, his loving wife of 44 years, who passed away in 1993. Together with her parents and grandparents, Lothar and Ilse moved to Vineland, NJ wher Lothar continued to work as a pastry chef while Ilse and her parents operated a poultry farm. Lothar is survived by his two sons, Gary and his wife Ginny, Howard and his wife Nancy and four grandchildren, Bill, Kate, Jeremy and Danny. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Levitt. Shiva wil be observed at his late residence.
