Obituary of Leonard Breemen

Leonard H. VanBreemen, 81, passed away on November 6, 2011 at SJRMC. Born to the late Leonard H. and Minnie (Hoffmeier) VanBreemen in Clifton, NJ, the family moved to Newport in the early 50's where he remained a life long resident. Leonard received a degree in Agricultural from Rutgers University. Along with his father he operated the VanBreemen Farms, after the passing of his father he continued to operate the farm with his family until his retirement in the mid nineties when he closed the farm. He was a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau. He is survived by his son, Dirk J. VanBreemen; a granddaughter & her husband, Shannon & Christian J. Crescenzo; his great-grandson, Christian Joseph Crescenzo Jr.. Leonard was predeceased by his wife Susan (Kiesler) VanBreemen in 1998 and also his son, Leonard "Lee" VanBreemen III. A Funeral Home Visitation will be held on Friday from 1pm to 2pm followed by A Funeral Service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery.
