Obituary of Angelina Catherine Trasferini

Angelina "Ann" Trasferini, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township, NJ. She was born and raised in Hammonton and moved to Vineland/Buena arena when she met and married her husband of 58 years, the late John F. Trasferini, where she remained a life-long resident. She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1946 and then attended beauty school in Philadelphia studying under the Dante Hair Design of Philadelphia. She then owned and operated Ann's Beauty Shop in the Vineland/Buena area for more than 20 years. She later operated along, with her late husband and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Albert and Pauline Trasferini Garden State Cleaners in Minotola until her retirement. A member of Queen of Angels Parish, Angelina was an accomplished seamstress. She was a creative person and enjoyed cooking, baking for her family and friends and was known for her green thumb.She was kind, friendly and enjoyed socializing. Angelina was very supportive of all her grandchildren's activities. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Aunt that positively touched the lives of anyone she came in contact with. She is survived by. daughters and their husbands, Janet and Joseph Nickels of Mays Landing; Carmi and Greg Brooks of Vineland; Mary and Daniel Parks of Vineland, and daughter-in-law, Teri Trasferini of Vineland, brother Joseph Fricia and his wife Karen of Lewes, DE and sister Kathy and her husband John Pulllman of PA; Brothers-in-law and wives, Albert and Pauline Trasferini, Richard and Judy Trasferini, Andrew and Laura Jean Trasferini, all of Vineland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica and husband, Bill Nees, Peter Trasferini, Jeffrey, Allison, Kevin, and Michael Nickels, Ann Marie and Carolyn Brooks, Dana, Edward, and Sara Parks, and great-grandson, Billy Nees. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Trasferini on Nov. 1, 2009. She was also predeceased by her son John Trasferini, Jr. and sister Josephine Procopio. A funeral home visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rone Funeral Service with a church visitation being held on Monday from 8:45 to 9:45 am at Queen of Angels Parish, Our Lady of Victories Church, 202 Northwest Blvd., Landisville, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery.
