Obituary of Les Marvin Thomas

Nick Please run in Thursday paper only Bobby Les M. Thomas, 46, a resident of Brunswick, died Friday 4/9/10 in the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia. Les was born April 15, 1963 in Vineland, New Jersey and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy and a former employee of UPS and a former owner of Coastline Landscape, Inc. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brunswick. He was a member of the “Reel Dawgs” and was a loyal Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a former Glynn County Recreation Coach and loved playing football at Glynn Academy for 4 years. He was a person with a big heart who cared for others more than himself. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He loved his children more than they’ll ever know and once a friend; he was your friend for life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Nellie Asselta, grandfather, J. Marvin Thomas, grandmother, Maggie Cady and a cousin, Ranoi Asselta. Survivors are his son, Gene Thomas, daughters, Jenna Thomas, Twins, Marissa and Amanda Thomas, his parents, Les and Ellie Thomas, brothers, Craig Thomas and John Thomas, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Thomas, his aunts and uncles, Catherine and Mike Wilson all of Brunswick, George and Kathi Asselta, Ronald and Janet Asselta all of Vineland, N.J., and Grace Tweety of Spokane, WA cousins, Amy Asselta, Ryan Asselta, Anita Asselta, godchild, Jennifer Asselta Shaun Wilson, Chris Wilson and Kelly Kennedy all of Brunswick and special friends, Deana and Austin Cohen of Brunswick. A Mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday 4/17/10 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vineland, New Jersey with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland, NJ
