Obituary of Joseph Mayrwalter

Joseph Mayrwalter, 52, of Vineland, died unexpectedly Monday, June 4, 2007 in South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center. He was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Son of the late Tillie (nee Pachter) and John Mayrwalter, he was a lifelong resident of Vineland. Joe attended the Jewish Day School where his mother was a teacher and was a graduate of Vineland High School. He graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Joe was a highly respected Specialist Engineer with DSA. He worked on a variety of projects for the U. S. Army at Fort Monmouth, and was the recipient of many awards and honors during his career. His positive outlook and professionalism will be greatly missed by his colleagues. He was involved in many charitable causes and enjoyed traveling to Europe and Israel. Joe was a loving, caring and kind person with a great sense of humor who was respected by all who knew him.
