Obituary of Annamaria Santangelo

Annamaria Santangelo, 94, of Roccamorice, Abruzzo Italy, passed from this earth peacefully and surrounded by her loving children, minutes after having received a final spiritual blessing, on February 5, 2024, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Annamaria was born on December 31, 1929 to the late Francesco and Marianna Fabiitto. Growing up as a young girl in Italy during WWII, Annamaria learned her skills of cutting patterns and sewing, knitting, embroidery and crochet, but best of all, cooking and baking all the while, helping her mother raise her younger siblings as their father died while serving in the war. Later, she met and married the love of her life, Vittorio, and together with two young children, emigrated to the United States in search of a better life in Vineland, NJ. Annamaria worked in various clothing shops, and Rienzi bridal salon where her precise and intricate sewing skills were sought after by her employers. Her primary passion was cooking, baking and entertaining company. Her door was always open and her kitchen table was always set, ready to feed family and friends who filled her life with warmth and companionship. Along with her husband of 71 years, her spirituality and her deep faith in God guided her daily life. Annamaria was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children Frank Santangelo (Patricia), Rosanna Celluzzi (Alex) and Donna Santangelo Cleveland (Robert); grandchildren Dale Santangelo (Theresa Fruean), Alexandra Celluzzi, Victoria Cleveland (Eric Jonas), Ryan Cleveland and step-grandsons Jonathan (Hannah) and Matthew Rib (Cara Choplin). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Maria Palumbo, (Donato), Lola Speziali (Paul), Marcella Shepard (Mark), Nicholas Conte (Alison), Anthony Conte (Yvette), Frank Conte, and Danielle Smith (Wayne). A church visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 11:30am to 1pm followed by a funeral mass at 1pm from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland.
