Obituary of Phillip A. Morris Sr.

Phillip A. Morris Sr., 75, of Newfield passed away at Inspira Vineland on Wednesday November 8, 2023. Phillip was the husband of Margaret (Siciliano) Morris. They had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 8. Born in Vineland on April 12, 1948, he was the son of Russell and Pauline (Sidone) of Landisville. Phil worked many jobs and recently retired from Zone Striping in Glassboro. He was a former Captain of the Newfield Fire Department and was an avid hunter. In his younger years, Phil looked forward to his annual deer hunting trip to Lawrenceville, PA. He was a member of the Menantico Hunting Club in Millville. Phil also enjoyed gardening and if you lived in the neighborhood, you were likely lucky enough to enjoy one of his beloved Jersey tomatoes. Survivors include stepson Brad Swan (Natalie) of Galloway Twp.; stepdaughters Brenda Stephens of Minotola, and Valerie Swan of Vineland; son Phillip A. Morris Jr. (Jennifer) of West Deptford and daughter Janine Edwards (George) of Franklinville and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phil is also survived by two brothers, Russell (Rita) of Middletown, DE and Walter Morris (June) of Vineland. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Carol Fichera of Vineland and a stepdaughter, Kim Swan of Vineland. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 12pm to 1pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
