Obituary of Joseph Thompson

Joseph Oliver Thompson, 72, of Vineland NJ passed away on September 10, 2023, in Atlantic City, NJ. He was born on August 16, 1951, in Brooklyn, NY. Joseph "Crazy Joe" was a fun and loving individual who brought joy to those around him. Joseph is survived by his sisters, Beverly Ann (Thompson) Borden (Jeffery) and Sharon Theresa Thompson. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Joseph had two special friends, Lewis and Macho. He was predeceased by his brother, Felix Thompson Jr and his sisters, Essie Marie Davis and Valerie Agnes Clark. Joseph attended the Franklinville School System for his primary education and later graduated from Delsea Regional High School. He pursued a career as a chauffeur for John Patitucci for many years showcasing his excellent driving skills. In his free time, Joseph enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, horse racing, and spending time with his friends. He cherished moments watching television with his sister Sharon, creating lasting memories together. Joseph Oliver Thompson will be deeply missed by his loved ones and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in eternal peace. A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 1pm to 2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
