Obituary of Yolanda Leone

Yolanda Leone, 94, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Bishop McCarthy Residence after a brief illness. She was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas C. Leone, her parents, two brothers, four sisters, two sisters-in-law, and five brothers-in-law. Born in Philadelphia to the late Carmello and Maria Ricciardi; she was a true family matriarch. Yolanda devoted her time first to her late husband of 63 years, Thomas C. Leone and then to her five children, eleven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She found fulfillment in her faith and her time with her family and friends. Together with her husband, they ran their family business, "Triple L Poultry Farm", as well as working in several local clothing factories where she perfected her skill as a seamstress. Yolanda was a devoted member of the Padre Pio Parish and loved going to mass every day. She took great pride in her crocheting abilities, making afghans for her family and hats for newborns which were donated to local hospitals. She was quite famous for her cooking and enjoyed having all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for the holidays. Survivors include her daughter Joan (Joseph) Ardito of Milmay, daughter Theresa (Donald) Smith of Vineland, daughter Yolanda (Russell) Jost of Cape May, son Thomas (Diane) Leone of Vineland, and daughter Nancy (Ronald) Williams of Pittsgrove. Grandchildren, Steven Smith, Daniel (Tamara) Ardito, Andrea (Cooper) Ford, Amy Ardito, Dina (Robert) Strain, Cynthia (Michael) French, David Ardito, Neal Williams, Deandra Leone (Fiancé, Robert Consalo), Gabrielle (Kevin) Oleszewski, Richard Williams. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and as well as her sister, Marie Santandrea. A church visitation will be held on --------------- from ---- to ---- at St. Mary's Church located at 736 Union Rd. in East Vineland, NJ. Burial will take place in St Mary's Parish Cemetery, East Vineland, NJ.
