Obituary of Loretta Yacullo

Loretta Yacullo, 95, of Vineland, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014, while in hospice care at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Benjamin and Pauline Chubatovsky, she lived in Union, NJ for over 45 years, before moving to Vineland in 2006. Before retirement, she worked as a senior secretary and assistant to the registrar at Kean College of NJ for 30 years. Loretta also worked as a piano teacher for many years prior, and as a typist and stenographer for several law offices. Loretta was a longtime member of the League of Women Voters of Union County, and also enjoyed serving as a teacher for Literacy Volunteers of America for many years. Loretta enjoyed concerts, theater, travel, visual arts, walking, cooking and baking, teaching and playing classical music, the study of languages, crossword puzzles and all types of word games, and nature appreciation, especially identifying trees. Loretta was predeceased by her beloved husband Pompey Yacullo in 1974. She is survived by her sister, Jeannette Chubatovsky of Vineland, her daughter Paula Krasover and son-in-law John of Vineland, her son Donald Yacullo of Catskill, NY and 3 nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360.
