Angelina DiTomo

Obituary of Angelina DiTomo

Angelina DiTomo, 93, of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully in the family's home surrounded by loved ones on March 17, 2014. Before moving to Florida in 2010, Angie was a lifelong resident of Vineland, New Jersey, where, for over 3 decades, she worked as a seamstress. Just under five-feet tall, Angie's unassuming and gentle nature masked a fierce wit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for the family and her single favorite joy was playing with her grandchildren during those countless sleepovers. Her homemade ravioli and escarole soup along with her warm, loving smile will be deeply missed. Angie was predeceased by her husband Vincent J. DiTomo, her parents, Carmelo Madrechesia and Ida (Napoli) Madrechesia, her sister Jeannette Tarlow, her brother Dr. Risley J. Madi, and her grandson Kenneth J. DiTomo. Angie is survived by her son John V. DiTomo and her daughter-in-law, Helen A. DiTomo, her grandchildren John, Jenn, Michael and Katie, her great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Nathaniel, and Margaret, her brother Salvatore Madrechesia, her sister Josephine Culler and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Isidore's Church in Vineland, New Jersey with a mass to begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice of Lakeland Florida. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, Vineland, New Jersey.
