Obituary of Frances Marie Borasi

Frances Marie Borasi (nee Carlo) of Vineland, NJ, age 100, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2014. Beloved wife of the late James J. Borasi, Sr. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph and Frank Carlo, and sister Marie Carlo. Loving mother of Madeline Pennente (Nicholas Jr.) of Vineland, NJ; Virginia Shirley (Larry) of Vineland, NJ; and James J. Borasi, Jr. (Holly Kuehner) of Marmora, NJ. Grandmother to Barbara Wainwright (Richard); Beth McBryan (Matthew); Carrie McLaughlin (William); Nicholas Pennente III (Lisa); Gary Johnson, Jr.; Danielle Monteleone (Joseph); and Larry Shirley (Dana). Great-grandmother of seventeen. Fran was from New York City where she met her beloved husband Jim before moving to Vineland to raise their three children. In later years, she enjoyed traveling, spending time at the shore, and conversing with friends and family over a cup of tea to find out "what's new". She was a masterful cook who loved doing so for all who walked through the door. Fran's friendship was valued by many. We are thankful and blessed to have just celebrated her 100th birthday with her as she was loved so much. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13 from 9:00-11:00 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland, NJ followed by Mass. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Seashore Gardens Living Center, Attn Sharon D'Angio, 22 W. Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway, NJ 08205.
