Obituary of Renato "Ronnie" Pitocchi

Renato " Ronnie" Pitocchi, 78, of Vineland, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, March 1, 2014 after a long brave fight with cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 36 years, Maria Teresa (Ascione) Pitocchi and his grandson, Gino Paolo Pitocchi. Known by his family and friends as "Ronnie", he was born in Caianello, Caserta, Italy on June 20, 1935 to the late Cesare & Carmina Pitocchi. He immigrated to America in 1964, became a US citizen and resided in Vineland his entire life. Ronnie was a beloved member of the Vineland community who worked as a skilled carpenter for many years, retiring as a carpenter for the Vineland Board of Education. He enjoyed socializing with family and friends and will always be remembered for his love of NASCAR racing, country music, winemaking, cooking, crabbing and gardening. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law; Carmina & Anthony Giandiletti of Chandler, Arizona, son & daughter-in-law; Roberto & Tracie (Whisler) Pitocchi of Vineland, 3 grandsons; Phillip Anthony Giandiletti, Anthony Giandiletti Jr. and Giancarlo Roberto Pitocchi, his sister and brothers in Italy; Maria Pitocchi, Tito Pitocchi & Oreste Pitocchi, and many nieces & nephews in the US and Italy. Funeral Home Visitations will be on Wednesday evening, March 5 from 7pm to 9pm and again on Thursday morning, March 6 from 8:30 am to 9:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, March 6 at Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
