Obituary of Franco DiLisciandro

Franco DiLisciandro, 78, of Vineland passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 at The Inspira Health Network. He was born in Villabate, Sicily to the late Mario & Angela (Dagatti) DiLisciandro. Franco's family moved from Italy to Brooklyn, NY, before moving to Vineland in 1983. He began his career in New York as a bread baker and then in Vineland where he and his family owned and operated The Liss Bakery and LaConca Dora Bakery. Franco was known for introducing "Semolina Bread" to the area. He was known as the hard worker but always made time for his family of which he loved spending time with. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. He is survived by his wife Of 51 Years, Gina (Tropeano) DiLisciandro, daughters & their companions; Angela DiLisciandro & Tim McLaughlin and Franca DiLisciandro & Asher Schwegel, son & daughter-in-law; Mario & Tricia DiLisciandro, daughter & son-in-law; Guilia & Wayne Carter, son & daughter-in-law; Pietro & Kim DiLisciandro; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Antonia Pitarresi & Giuseppina Maggiore and several nieces & nephews. Franco was predeceased by his parents Mario & Angela DiLisciandro and his brother, Giulio DiLisciandro. A Funeral Home Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17 from 9am to 11am at Rone Funeral Service. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 am at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland, NJ. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
