Obituary of Joseph Nicolato

Joseph Nicolato, 85, of Vineland passed away on November 17, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was the only son to the late Joseph and Mary Nicolato. He graduated from Vineland High School. Joe worked for several stores before joining the Army for the Korean War, while at war he was wounded while saving two of his buddies and received the Purple Heart for his actions. Joe was then hired by Sears as display manager, where he worked for 37 years. He traveled for many years with Sears assisting with new store openings all over the east coast. Joe loved to work in his yard all year long and loved to play golf. He was a former usher at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Another joy of his was working on his many jigsaw puzzles. You could find him at the YMCA at least 3 times a week. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 Years, Molly (Agostini) Nicolato; Son & Daughter-in-law, Steven & Karen Nicolato and many Nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his Son, Michael Nicolato, and 5 Sisters, Margaret Landi, Mary Sacchetti, Edith Spada, Zee Lorenzini and Clara Nicolato. Funeral Home Visitations will be on Thursday evening, November 21 from 6pm to 8pm and again Friday morning, November 22 from 9:45am to 10:45am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 am on Friday, November 22 at Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
