Obituary of C. Confalone

C. Anthony Confalone, 93, passed away on June 2, 2013 at the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home. He was born and raised in Vineland to the late Antonio and Maria (Marinelli) Confalone. During World War II, Tony served in Headquarters Battery 308th Coast Artillery Barrage Balloon Battalion near Seattle, Washington. He returned to Vineland after an honorable discharge from the Army. Tony worked in various movie theatres in Atlantic City and Vineland before starting a career in the glass industry. For over 40 years, he worked at various glass factories in Vineland including Kimble Glass before retiring from Comar Glass. Tony enjoyed traveling around the United States, made frequent trips to Italy for business and vacations and once to England to visit his son. He is survived by his son, Victor Confalone of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Elizabeth Confalone of Washington, DC and Charlene Frost of Henderson, NV. Tony was predeceased by his wife, Josephine (Capece) Confalone; daughter-in-law, Susan D. Confalone; daughter, Barbara Confalone; parents, Antonio & Maria Confalone; brother, Samuel Confalone; and sisters, Mary Rosenti, Angelina Spatola & Antoinette DiOrio. Funeral Home Visitations will be held on Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning, 10am to 11am at Rone Funeral Service. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
