Obituary of Mary Bresciano

Mary Bresciano 98, of Bridgeton passed away Monday February 18, 2013 in the Cumberland Manor Nursing facility in Bridgeton. Mary was born in Brooklyn NY, to the late Ignazio and Lorenza (Geramita) Mistretta before moving to East Vineland where her family began farming. When Mary met her late husband Thomas who passed away in 1982, moved back to Brooklyn living there for several years before moving back to Vineland. While living in Vineland she was employed as a seamstress for Tursini Clothing for many years and also taught evening sewing classes at the Vineland High School. Moving to Bridgeton to be closer to her family, Mary volenteered for the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Alzhimers Day Care Center in Bridgeton, and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Theresa's Church in Bridgeton. In 1999, Mary received the Citation of Competion from the Cumberland county TRIAD Senior Police Academy Class #1 in recognition of Attending and completing 10 Consecutive weeks of Senior Police Academy Training. Mary loved cooking and tending to her garden. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
