Obituary of Frances Bucca

Frances M. Bucca passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Bishop McCarthy Residence. Born in Jersey City, NJ on May 4, 1914, Frances lived in Milmay, NJ and then resided in Vineland, NJ. Frances worked as a salesperson at the Vineland Drug Store on Landis Avenue in Vineland until the store closed. She then continued her work in sales at JJ Newberry's until her retirement. Frances was an avid Phillies baseball fan and spent many hours watching and cheering on her favorite team. She enjoyed playing cards, reading and doing any kind of word puzzle. Before moving to Bishop McCarthy, Frances was a passionate baker making dozen of cookies and sharing her recipes with her family. But mostly, Frances enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews sharing stories, playing cards and creating lifetime memories. Frances is predeceased by her parents Santo and Vitina Bucca, sisters and brothers - in- law Lena (Bucca) and Dante Romanini, Anna (Bucca) and Peter Voltaggio; and brother, Placido A. Bucca. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Angela Bucca, nieces and nephews, Jacqueline (Romanini) and Thomas Merighi, Dante and Karen Romanini, and Tina Bucca Symanski. Frances is also survived by great nieces and nephews Dante and Sarah Romanini and their daughter Arianna; Marisa Romanini; Thomas and Leanne Merighi Jr. and their children TJ, Juliana, Tim, and Alaina; Stephanie (Merighi) and Anthony Tobolski and their children Anthony and Kathryn; and Danielle (Merighi) and Ralph Clayton. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the Good Sheppard Parish Church of St. Isodore The Farmer in Vineland, NJ on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bishop McCarthy Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 337, Vineland, NJ 08360. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, Vineland, NJ.
