I would like to offer my condolences to the family of the woman that I remember as Maria Cirelli. I worked at Thrift Drug years ago as a teenager and Maria was my boss. She was a good person, yet firm about the workplace. I often ran into Maria as I grew up, married, and had a family. She always remembered me and was always happy to say hello. She was my first boss and gave me an idea of a strong work ethic. I remember her Monte Carlo she used to drive. She was an old friend and a good boss.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I worked for Maria at Thrift Drug, and she was a great manager - dedicated, professional, and a hardworker. I lost my brother in Nov 2006, his passing was very unexpected, however a week or so after he passed I seen Maria and she came over to me immediately she offered her condolences, she was very compassionate and genuinely was concerned about how my Mother and I were doing. She shared a few memories with me that she had of him, one time she seen him in a store and they talked for a little while, and she told me that he always had a smile on his face whenever she seen him. When she described to me the few times she had seen him, and what he said and so forth, it made me feel so good. I recall when I worked for her at Thrift that she lost her Dad at a young age, when I was 14 I lost my Father also, he was 40yrs old. On occasion she shared with me her loss, and at the time my Dad had died just 3 yrs prior to my working at Thrift, she could tell I was struggling with the loss of my Dad. She allowed me to confide in her about what I was going through, she shared with me how she felt when she lost her Dad - and she was so genuine and made it easy for me to talk to her about my Father. When I lost my brother a few yrs ago, and I had seen Maria - actually I seen her 2x since he died, and each time she expressed her condolences, and allowed me to confide in her about the loss of my brother. I really was so appreciative and grateful that we ran into each other those few times and she really did comfort me when I spoke about my brother. Maria was bold, but she did have a huge heart, and was a very caring person indeed. I didn't know she was ill, I was shocked when I learned she passed. I know how hard this is for her family and all who love her, but she will always be with you, and remember she did not pass away......she only went HOME. May God Bless you all and I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Joahanna and family, Remembering Marie. The gift of life, though precious, must sometime pass away- Yet love and memories remain eternal gifts that stay. Although your loved one is gone now, You will always carry within you impressions of her life and love. That is really the gift she left for you all to keep from her. May you find peace and comfort in your memories of them. Eternal rest, grant to her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
