To the Serad family, my deepest sympathy for your loss. I'll always remember the terrific banter between Mr. Serad and Mr. Carrozzino before the start of fourth period. Mr. Serad had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Even though I was not a student in his class, I am very glad to have known him while growing up. He was able to teach all who knew him.

Walt was a fantastic teacher and colleague; words can’t express my gratitude for his honesty and candor in my first years of teaching. He was never at a loss for a quick-witted comment or joke. I will truly miss his big smile and warm greetings, that were always there no matter how much time had passed.

Walter was a wonderful man who I always enjoyed talking to. He loved being a teacher and always had great advice, for me personally and our parish. His advice will be missed by the members of St. Rose parish council. He was not only a practical man but a man of great faith in Our Lord. I know that the Lord greeted him home with the words, "Well done good and faithful servant!"
