Obituary of David T. Albertson

David Towers Albertson, 82, passed away on August 29th surrounded by his family. He was born in 1943 to the late Robert and Dora Albertson of Franklinville, NJ. He graduated from Delsea High School in 1963 where he played football and ran track. He worked at the DuPont Chambers Work Site in Deepwater, NJ for 33 years and ended his career as an Instrument mechanic. He met his wife of 60 years Antionette "Toni", they married in May of 1966, set up house in Vineland, NJ and had two daughters Helene and Nadene. David loved music, fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Dave played the clarinet in the Pitman Hobo Band with his father. He transitioned to playing the organ and keyboards for many years and was joined in his love of music by many members of his family. Dave loved fishing and his Bass Boat. He was a member of the 4th Ward Bass Anglers Club in Bridgeton, NJ for several years. He loved his annual venture to the Potomac. In later years, he dedicated time to keeping family history and his father's dream alive by sharing the love of trains by hosting tours of the Franklinville Railroad Station in Franklinville, NJ. Dave was also active in organizing his high school class reunions for many years and enjoyed keeping in touch with his former classmates. He is survived by his loving wife, Antionette "Toni" Albertson; daughters, Helene Kane (Dennis) of West Deptford and Nadene Pellegrini of Buena; grandchildren, Craig Pellegrini (Kayla Long) and Giana Pellegrini; brothers, Robert C. Albertson (Carole) of Elmer and James R. Albertson (Mary) of Cape Coral, Fl; and his sister, Carol Coulbourn (Tom) of Franklinville. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Stanley C. Albertson. Funeral home visitations will be held on Friday evening, September 4th from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning, September 5th from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
