Burning out well before her time, Lori lived life with incredible enthusiasm. She was intelligent, driven, and downright fearless. Parenting lacked nothing short of complete confidence. With unwavering love, Lori encouraged her daughters to work toward their full potential. Together with Eddie’s staunch support, Lori guided Aimee and twins, Kaitlyn and Jenna toward successful careers. More importantly, Each shine compassionately in her own special way. I noticed Lori’s touching kindness years ago when she and her sister Mary undertook caregiving for their Aunt Lil. How secure one could feel - covered in such heartwarming protection! That’s how Lori treated all those close to her. The other side of Lori ignited her outgoing charism and sharp wittiness. Even in huge family gatherings, Lori stood implacable in her beliefs and opinions. You had to respect that about her. When it came to fitness and health, or the strategic aspects of entrepreneurship, Lori knew nothing short of giving one hundred and one percent. She accepted nothing less than perfection. That’s the dynamic person I remember and always will. May God console the Scarpa and Petrongolo families for having to endure the painful journey they saw Lori through in her final years. You all had to be her shield of armor; however, Lori is the guardian now, a shining angel in His Kingdom. Mary Duffy
