Obituary of Jeannette Ethel Palmieri

Jeannette Ethel Pioppi Palmieri, 72, of Buena, New Jersey, passed away on July 23, 2026 surrounded by family and friends. Jeannette was born on August 9, 1953 at the Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia, and was the beloved daughter of the late Jino and Ethel Pioppi. She was raised on Pioppi Farms on Piney Hollow Road in Newfield, New Jersey, where she grew up surrounded by her family and created memories that she carried throughout her life and frequently told stories of. Jeannette graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 1971, and went on to attend Vineland Cosmetology School, where she graduated and became a hairdresser. At the age of 18, Jeannette married her one and only true love Raymond Palmieri. She then became a devoted full-time homemaker, dedicating her life to her family. At the age of 29, Jeannette was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Although this illness brought many challenges into her life, Jeannette never allowed it to take away her love of life. She continued to live life to the fullest, traveled all over the world, always finding ways to enjoy the things and people she loved. Her strong faith and devotion to God was her rock and what gave her the strength to persevere. Jeannette was a doting mother who was always there for her children. She was actively involved in their lives and loved volunteering at their school, proudly giving her time and energy to support them. Her children always knew they could count on her. She took great pride in her home and was very particular about keeping everything just so. She loved going out to dinner, some of her favorite places included The Crab Trap, Five Points, and Fazzolari's. Saturday nights at Eastlyn were a special tradition she looked forward to. Jeannette's favorite thing to do was go to the casino, no matter how sick she was feeling she was always ready to take a ride. Shopping also was always a must. Music was another one of her great loves, and whenever her favorite singer, Frankie Valli, was performing nearby, Jeannette made sure she was there to enjoy the show bringing her family along. A favorite pastime was spending time at her home on the beach in Ocean City and Florida. Jeannette will be remembered for her devotion to her children, the immense love she had for her grandchildren, her pride in her home and family, her strength in the face of adversity, and her determination to enjoy life. She was a woman who knew what she liked and how she liked things. Her family and friends will always remember the special ways that made Jeannette "one of a kind". She amazed all that met her. Jeannette's greatest legacy is the love she gave to her family and her determination to never give up no matter what life throws at you. Her six grandchildren were the light of her life, and the love she gave them will remain a part of them forever. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family forever—in the stories they tell, the traditions they carry on, and in the love she gave so freely to the people who meant the most to her. Her greatest joy in life was her six grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart and considered her purpose in life: Jenna Troyano, Johnathan Troyano, Robert Troyano Jr., Raymond Palmieri III, Andrew Palmieri, and Catalina Palmieri. Her grandchildren brought her endless happiness, and she treasured every single moment that she spent with them. She is survived by her beloved siblings, Jino Pioppi Jr. (Diane), Jean Pioppi Bowe (Joe) ,Teresa Pioppi (Al), Mildred Warren (Rick), Theresa Centanni-Pioppi, Joey Centanni (predeceased Willa). Jeannette was preceded in death by her brother, Armando Pioppi Sr. She has many loving and supportive nieces and nephews. Jeannette was also blessed to have the loving care and support of her family and friends daily, especially, Maka Barbakadze, who was her long-time devoted live-in caregiver. Diane Pioppi, her sister-in-law, was always there for her, and took care of her throughout her life, as well as her childhood friend, Marie DeFeo Caudill, who visited and prayed with her weekly. A Church Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30th, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola, NJ. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:30 pm. Entombment in the family mausoleum will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
