Obituary of Joseph A Kilka

Joseph A. Kilka, 75, of Alloway, NJ, passed away at home peacefully on July 19, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. Joe was born on March 26, 1951 in New York, NY to Joseph E. and Elizabeth (Betty) Kilka (nee Romano). He grew up in the Jackson Heights section of Queens, NY, before marrying his beloved wife of 53 years, Pamela (nee Benson). They started a family together in NYC, eventually moving to Mount Olive, NJ to raise their three children. After a 45-year career as a retail executive, Joe retired and settled down in Alloway, NJ. Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and volunteer in his church community. His work ethic and unwavering focus enabled him to provide his family with memorable experiences and opportunities. He found great satisfaction in simple pleasures, especially joking around with family, friends and co-workers. Sports were always on the television, and he especially enjoyed days at Monmouth Park. In addition to being a pillar for his family, he also volunteered as a basketball coach at St Elizabeth's RC Church in Flanders, NJ for 15 years. Joe is survived by his wife, Pamela; his three children, Gregory (Lisa Zator), James (Melissa Nardi), Kristin (Ken McMackin); and his cherished grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Lorelei, Peyton, Kaelin, Aidan, Liam and Andrew; and his sister, Lenore (Richard Rossignol). He is predeceased by his parents and nephew, Andrew Rossignol. A Church visitation will be held on Friday, July 24th from 9:15am-11:15am followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 am from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament - Church of St Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola Church in Minotola, NJ.
