Sending my warmest condolences to Carmen, and Bobby's large extended family and friends. I served at ACC with Bobby, arriving at the same time, 1974, and seeing Bobby advance through various positions, handling them all with professionalism and grace. I worked most closely with him at the Worthington City Center, where he supported our growing ESL program and the many activities of our International Club. I will always remember and cherish his calm, balanced leadership style and warm, loving personality.

My sincere condolences to Bobby's wife, Carmen, and his family members and friends. I have known Bobby Royal Sr. since 1972 when I joined the faculty of Atlantic Community College. During those years, Bobby and I became good friends. In fact, I would say he became one of the finest gentleman I have ever known. His engaging smile, humanity and desire to help others have defined his character. A review of his accomplishments at Atlantic Cape Community College have set the tone for his success. Bobby was an very good athlete and loved to play golf. Our shared love of golf had brought us many wonderful memories. Bobby was a good golfer. The golf trips with family and friends often brought laughter to our experiences as we became very competitive. However Bobby's smile always eased the competitive tensions which would develop when trying to win a beer from our adversary. Oh, the memories! Carmen, the family and those of us who knew Bobby well can take solace in knowing that he will be welcomed in our Father's heavenly golf links. Dennis M. Huey

Thinking of you all as you mourn the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. To Bobby and Jerrell, the men you have become gave him pride. To Nishuta and Abby you made his sons so happy and gave him beautiful grandchildren. To Brent, Shay, Jackson, and Savannah, your grandfather will now be a guardian angel watching over you throughout your lives. I know he feels your love. I send my deepest condolences to the entire family. I have been blessed by knowing Bobby for the last 43 years. He was a true friend, always had a smile for you and a kind word. I enjoyed our time together both professionally and personally. He was without a doubt an incredible man. I will miss him and continue to think of him fondly.
