Obituary of Helene M. Falasca

Helene M. (Mercoli) Falasca, 80, of Buena, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1945, in Vineland, she was the daughter of the late Aldo Mercoli and Connie and Ray Palmieri and the granddaughter of Evo and Helen Mercoli. Helene attended Vineland High School where she met the love of her life, Danny. She received her GED after leaving high school early to get married. She later proudly earned her Associates degree in Business Administration from Atlantic Community College, taking one class at a time over the course of eight years while working and raising her children. She worked as a bookkeeper, supporting her husband in the family business. Helene was surrounded by the best friends anyone could ever have. They named themselves "Team Helene" and remained devoted to her throughout her long battle with Alzheimer's. Her cousin, Anita Pindale, was her dearest companion throughout her life. Helene was a voracious reader, she loved crosswords, playing card games, traveling, watching Jeopardy, and going to the movies and country concerts. Her favorite hobby was going to the casino, where, of course, she was always ahead! Helene is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel, her children, Aldo, Daniel (Lisa) and Danielle (Bill); the grandchildren she adored, Daniel Falasca (Julia), Morgan Kramarski (Phil), Elena Sneathen and Will Sneathen (Maya), her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Daniel Falasca and Pierce Kramarski; her brother, Raymond Palmieri (Oksana), her brother-in-law, Keith Elliott and many nieces and nephews. Helene was predeceased by her sister, Diane Elliott. Helene's family would like to thank the staff of Ennoble Care Hospice and her long-time devoted caregiver, Marina. Friends and family are invited to attend a church visitation on July 10th from 9am to 12pm followed by a funeral mass at 12:30pm from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church of St. Michael on 504 S. West Avenue, Minotola, NJ 08341. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Memorial contributions may be made in Helene's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 255 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601.
