Obituary of Nina Trupkiewicz

Nina Trupkiewicz, born June 12, 1944, passed away on June 26, 2026, following a journey with dementia. She was a candid, unapologetic woman who lived life firmly on her own terms and left an unforgettable impression on everyone who knew her. Nina spent a successful and dedicated career with Waste Management. Proving that she was never one to just sit around in retirement, she later kept herself busy by going to work for the Boy Scouts of America. To know Nina was to know a woman with a unique spirit and a clear sense of what she enjoyed. In her 30s, she loved the camaraderie and competition of playing co-ed softball. Throughout her life, she appreciated her favorite everyday staples. She could often be found enjoying a hot cup of coffee or an ice-cold Pepsi-perfectly paired with a cigarette and a bag of Wise potato chips. Nina possessed a sharp mind and a fierce competitive streak. She loved diving into a great book, playing cards with family and friends, dominating the board in Scrabble, and testing her trivia knowledge against the contestants on Jeopardy! She also had her own special way of showing she cared, often enjoying trips to the dollar store to pick out fun items to mail as surprise packages to her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brothers, Ivan Golownjew and Alex Golownjew; her sister, Tamara O'Hara; and her ex-husbands, Jim Trupkiewicz and Walter Myers. Nina's legacy and memorable sense of humor will be carried on by her surviving family: her beloved older sister, Luba Bodulow; her daughter, Katrina Myers; her son, Mark Myers, and his wife, Amy; her three grandchildren, Shannon Barnes and her husband Brad, Samantha Wilson and her partner, Ivan Gamble, and Natasha Myers; her great-grandchild, Zion Gamble; as well as several nieces and nephews. Nina will be remembered for her wit, her resilience, and her fierce authenticity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of sharing a game, a drink, or a laugh with her. A funeral home visitation will be held on Monday, July 6th from 2pm to 3pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
