Obituary of Kristine Mason

Kristine Frances Mason (Welty), 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. She was born on March 31, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, to Karl F. Welty and Dorothy (Reed) Welty. Kristine grew up in South Jersey, where she attended public schools and developed an interest in bookkeeping. After graduating from Sterling High School in 1965, she held many positions that made use of her bookkeeping skills. Kristine was married to Floran Wayne Mason Sr. for over 40 years, until his passing in 2025. Together they raised a loving family, maintained a home, and built their working lives. After retiring, they traveled across the USA in their RV, eager to see as much of it as they could. Along the way, they stayed in places they especially enjoyed. Kristine often worked in campground offices, putting her bookkeeping skills to use, while Floran worked as a mechanic, repairing campground equipment and machinery. Kristine loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed attending church in Minotola, NJ and spoke lovingly of the friends she met there. She loved to crochet and was often at work on a new blanket. She enjoyed the company of cats throughout her life, and her favorite was a cat named Lucky. Kristine is survived by her sister, Kathy Glenn of Alabama; her son, Steven Miller and his wife, Stormi, of California; her stepsons and their wives, Wayne and Gina Mason of NJ, and Kristopher and Danielle Mason of FLA; as well as many beloved grandchildren and cherished great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Driscoll. With love and gratitude for the life of Kristine Frances Mason, our family will hold a private service to honor her memory.
