Obituary of Joseph Petrini

Joseph B. Petrini, 66, of Milmay, NJ, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Joe was the son of Jean Petrini and the late John R. Petrini; a loving father to Joseph (Elisa) and Emily (Tom) Griffin; and an adoring grandfather to Joseph and Jayson Petrini, who brought him immense pride and joy. Born and raised in Richland, Joe was a graduate of Buena Regional High School. He began his working life in his family's business, Richland Carpet, before going out on his own path in the flooring industry. Never one to do things by the book, Joe worked for several companies over the years, learning the trade his way, before ultimately running his own flooring business-on his own terms, with his own grit and personality. Above all else, Joe was a people person. He loved deeply, showed up generously, and helped whenever he could. His heart was big, sometimes bigger than his circumstances, and his love for his children and grandchildren was the most constant and grounding force in his life. Whether taking his kids on unforgettable trips to Europe to see Big Ben and London Bridge, or spending Friday nights playing and laughing with his grandchildren, Joe found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by family. Joe had a sharp sense of humor and a natural ability to make people laugh. Even in difficult moments, he carried a lightness that put others at ease. In the last five years of his life, Joe faced significant adversity, yet despite these challenges, he remained resilient, quick with a joke, and determined to lift the spirits of those around him- family, friends, and even the healthcare workers who cared for him. Joe is survived by his mother, Jean Petrini; his children and grandchildren; and his siblings John (Rose Ann), Joan, and Jay, along with six nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his resilience, and above all, his deep love for people and family. A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25th from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
