Robert Samuel Carson, Sr., 92 years old passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 24, 1933, to Samuel Carson and Marie Davis Carson. Raised in Camden, NJ, he and his family became long term residents of Piney Hollow, NJ in 1968.

Robert honorably served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Salem during the Korean conflict. His tour of duty was in the Mediterranean. Discharged in April 1956, he returned home and married "the girl next door," Geraldine Suffern on September 1, 1956. Married 66 years, Bob and Gerry raised four children: Dawn Ring (Earl), Robert Jr. (deceased), Michael Carson, and Matthew Carson (Tammy). Bob is also survived by his granddaughter Ann-Jeanette Morales (Wilfrido), and his great-granddaughter Victoria Morales.

Trained as a pipefitter, Bob was a member of UA Local Union 322 (Plumbers, Pipefitters, and HVAC). An avid hunter, Bob was a member of the Piney Hollow Sportsman's Club. His true passion was the water as he spent many hours on his boats in the Delaware Bay each fishing season.

The family extends their gratitude to the Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Washington Twp. Special thanks to Samaritan Hospice for the care and support they provided during his time of need.

In accordance with Robert's wishes, private services will be held at Rone Funeral Service in Vineland, NJ on February 11, 2026.
