Louis Alfred Fabbri, 78, of Vineland, NJ, passed away at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital the afternoon of February 7 following his four-year long fight against cancer.
Lou was a life-long resident of Vineland, born August 17, 1947, to Alfred Louis and Agnes (Olivari) Fabbri. A Vineland High School Class of '66 graduate, he served three years in the Army during Vietnam until 1969. In May 1973, he married Joann (LaRocca) of Rosenhayn at St. Michael's church in Minotola. He was a devoted father to his children Chad and Lauren. A member of Carpenters Local 1578, he spent over 25 years working in Atlantic City and retired April 2012.
Always ready with a wave, he loved people and sharing life experiences. He showed kindness to others each day and was the type who would offer the shirt off his back. He was an avid gardener and took immense pride in his landscaping. He loved reading thrillers, bingeing on a Netflix series and good food. He traveled extensively throughout his lifetime enjoying new cultures, architecture and the local cuisine. He enjoyed being a member of the North Italy Club and American Legion. He was a talented painter whose creativity and skills crafted his own unique collection of wooden decor including a lot of bird houses.
He is survived by his beloved wife Joann (LaRocca); son, Chad Fabbri & fiancé Antoinette Fierro; daughter, Lauren Fabbri; granddaughter, Alessandria Fabbri; first cousins, Jeanette (Fabbri) Biletta, Brian & Margie Olivari, Roseanne (Olivari) & Steven Saglia; and more extended relatives.
