Obituary of Virginia Spero

Virginia Marion "Ginny" Spero, 80, of Buena, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1945 in Vineland, NJ, Ginny was the daughter of John and Mildred Groblewsky. She grew up in Mizpah, NJ, and graduated from Oakcrest High School. She later married the love of her life, Jacob Spero, with whom she shared 62 years of devotion and partnership. Ginny pursued a long and successful career in banking, earning numerous awards and certificates that reflected her dedication and professionalism. A woman deeply rooted in her faith, Ginny served her church community in many roles throughout her life. Her generosity, kindness, and steadfast spirit touched everyone who knew her. Ginny was also a gifted and creative soul. She found joy in baking, quilting, gardening, and creating art-talents she shared freely with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Jacob; her three children, Susan Gietka and husband Steven Gietka, Anthony Spero and wife Vicki Spero, and John and wife Christy Spero; seven grandchildren, Eve, Vaughn, Dane, Jonathan, Jacob, Bruno, and Bobbie Lynn; and five great grandchildren, Kaden, Levi, Brianna, Anthony, and Damien. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Groblewsky. Ginny's warmth, creativity, and unwavering faith leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who loved her. The family extends a warm and heartfelt thank you to the entire Bayada Hospice staff for their compassionate care and support during Ginny's final days. A funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 9:30am to 11:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 12pm from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of St. Mary's, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
