Obituary of Gloria C Polizzi

Gloria Tonetta Polizzi, 95, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, December 23rd. Gloria lived her entire life in Vineland. In June of 1962, she married the love of her life, Louis Polizzi, and enjoyed many loving years until his passing on August 22nd. They enjoyed many years of traveling with family and friends and most of all dancing, especially the jitter bug. Gloria arranged many bus trips to New York to see Broadway Shows. She shared many summer vacations in Wildwood with family and friends and especially going to see Charlie Gracie. "Oh those Wildwood Days!" In her younger years she enjoyed bowling, cooking, and working in the yard but most of all enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Gloria is predeceased in life by her beloved husband, Louis. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra -Tonetta Lovecchio (Paul), Paula Smaniotto (Dave) and Louann Davidson; grandchildren, Karen Lovecchio Clark (Del), Jennifer Lovecchio Cugini (Ed), Shana Davidson Conboy (Joe), Amanda Smaniotto (fiancé Gabe Palmerio) and Joshua Davidson (Sarah Kelly); her great-grandchildren Mia, Gabriel and Abigail Clark, Angelina and Victoria Cugini, Viviana Palmerio; Sister, Myra Geri (George Zorzi); brother Vincent Tonetta; sister-in-law Marie Tonetta; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Phil and Mary Polizzi, and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Alex and Amelia Tonetta; father-in-law and father-in-law Nicholas and Georgina Polizzi; son-in-law Reuel Davidson; brothers Joe, John and Alex Tonetta; sisters Lucy Gardella, Rita Castellini and Mary Holmes; brothers-in-law Jack Holmes and David Geri; sisters-in-Law Olive, Rosie and Cathy Tonetta, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kathleen and Ike Schreiber. A very special thank you to the staff at the Veterans Home of Vineland where Gloria and Lou until his passing, were residents since 2015, especially the care given on Justice Court. Their care of Gloria in the last two years since the passing of her husband has been more than exceptional. "TRUN" to the staff of Justice Court. A funeral visitation will be held on Monday, December 29th from 9am to 10:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
