Obituary of Lorraine Franceschini

Lorraine Franceschini (Debbi), 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 12, 2025. Lorraine was born on October 11, 1937 in Vineland, where she lived her entire life. Lorraine was the heart of the family farm that started with her beloved husband David Sr. Then together with their son David Jr it became D.E. Franceschini and Son Farms. Lorraine took pride in seeing the business grow into a 4th generation family farm which includes grandsons David and John. A devoted wife, loving mother, mom-mom and great mom-mom, Lorraine enjoyed sitting on her porch, having her family surround her with laughter and love. She enjoyed traveling with family, especially the annual Franceschini Summer Vacation in Sea Isle City. Lorraine was a cook, baker, avid gardener, and reader. One of her favorite family traditions was making homemade raviolis with daughters Debbie, Denise, and Val. Lorraine was a founding member of St. Mary School Grandparents Association, a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church/Padre Pio Parish and the Alter Rosary Society. Lorraine is now reunited in heaven with her husband of 67 years, David Edward Franceschini Sr. Lorraine is survived by her loving children David E Franceschini Jr (Valerie), Debbie Franceschini (Garth), and Denise Battelini (Albert); adored grandchildren, David M Franceschini Sr ( Lindsay), Amanda Newton (Brian), Rebecca Battelini, Victoria Battelini (Johnny), and John Franceschini (Maria); beloved great-grandchildren Juliana Franceschini, David Michael Francheschini Jr, Dominic Newton, and Andrew Newton; sister-in-law Johanne Venturi, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Marie Debbi, in-laws John and Anna Franceshini, brother- and sister-in-law Ronald and Marie Franceshini, and brother-in-law Bob Venturi. In the words of her favorite singer, Engelbert Humperdink, "When we are far apart or when you're near me, love me with all your heart as I love you." A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th from 8am to 10am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 11am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Pompeii Cemetery, Vineland.
