Obituary of Michael Spatafore
Michael Spatafore, 63, of Franklinville, NJ, died unexpectedly on August 17th, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on October 11th, 1961, Michael lived a full and vibrant life and touched the lives of many people along the way.
He played baseball in the Franklinville Little League and at Delsea Regional High School from which he graduated in 1980.
Michael married the love of his life, Diana Huck, in 1992. Together they raised two wonderful children, Erica and Aaron.
Michael worked in the family business at Malaga Service Garage and managed all the family property. Later he was employed as a manufacturing associate for U.S. Filter and as a parts associate at Lee Rain, both in Vineland. He concluded his career at Spectrum Design in Franklinville as an electromechanical assembler where he retired in 2022.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had great appreciation for the outdoors and loved sharing his experiences and knowledge with others.
Michael was a 4th generation member of Hope Assembly of God in Newfield, a church that his great-grandparents helped to found. Throughout the years Michael served the church in several capacities, including leading youth group, Royal Rangers, Sunday School teacher, assisting in children's church, usher, lawn mowing, and finance committee for the church renovations.
His genuine kindness was experienced by everyone he met.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Spatafore, Sr. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diana (Huck) Spatafore. His two children, Erica (Spatafore) Schofield of Glassboro, and Aaron Spatafore of Franklinville; his mother, Betty Jo (Lunsford) Spatafore of Malaga and his brother, Samuel Spatafore, Jr, of Woodbury.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Assembly of God, 377 Dutch Mill Road, Newfield, NJ on Saturday, September 6th. Visitation starts at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00 am.
