Melvin Reeves Jr, 87, of Egg Harbor Twp., passed away on August 11, 2025. He was born in Bridgeton and raised in Buena. Melvin was a hard worker for his entire life. He was a self-employed painting contractor and builder. Melvin built a beautiful home in Milmay, NJ on his own. He had great love for music and played the guitar; he even had a band at one time. He loved collecting antiques and carnival glass, he was fascinated by fast cars and enjoyed good Italian food. Melvin was a great father and will be missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Reeves Schwartz (John); grandchildren, Desiree McCurry Turgeon, Brittani Chester and John Schwartz II; great-grandchildren, Arek Turgeon, Jeremiah Turgeon, Jayden Burt, Damien Chester Beckett, Ethan Chester Beckett and Kali Chester; He was predeceased by grandson, Robert Turgeon Jr.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, August 18th at 2:00 pm from Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E Walnut Rd, Vineland.
