Obituary of Richard D Crowell

Richard D. Crowell, 93, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Born on August 4, 1931, to the late Richard and Mary (nee Goffredi), Richard was a lifelong resident of Buena Borough, New Jersey, and a proud alumnus of Vineland High School. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, June (nee Giovinazzi); his sons Robert; Richard C. (Dottie nee Seran); Randall (Christina nee Rockwell); along with grandchildren David, Edward (Victoria), Dominic, Lauren, and Christina (Joe); great-grandson Angelo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters and was the last surviving sibling of his family. Richard served honorably in the New Jersey National Guard during the Korean War. He retired from Vineland Transmit Mix after a distinguished career of 42 years. Richard was an active and devoted community member. He was a parishioner at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church and a proud volunteer firefighter with the Minotola, Landisville, and Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Companies. His passions included spending time with family, vegetable gardening, and cheering for his favorite teams: Notre Dame football, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Philadelphia Phillies. Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, community service, and devotion to family that will be cherished by all who knew him. A church visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th from 9:15am to 11:15am followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 am from Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
