Obituary of Albert E Karwowski
Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, Friday, June 27, 2025, marked the end of a brief, but valiant fight against cancer for Albert E Karwowski, 65, of Vineland. Albert was born in Vineland on July 10, 1959, to Frank Sr. and Josephine (Pogorzelski) Karwowski and into a family of welcoming siblings.
A happy child, Albert loved outdoor play and excelled in childhood sports. He later enjoyed the intricacies of the game of pool and most recently spent time refining his golf skills along with his love of the game. He extended this joy of sports while coaching various teams of his children as well as playing golf with them. He and his family watched and attended sporting events together, especially supporting the Eagles and Phillies.
Blessed with a bright intellect and persistent work ethic, Albert was never without a job and early in his life held a variety of positions, including employment at several casinos. After graduating from Rutgers University, obtaining his CPA, and working with several accounting firms, he began his role at Precision Electronic Glass. At PEG, working alongside John and Philip Rossi, he rose to the position of Vice President, CFO.
Albert's private CPA firm was of great importance to him. His cherished long time clients became friends, many continuing their relationship with him after moving to other states. Quietly, without fanfare, Albert provided tax assistance to those who could not otherwise afford such services.
Truly a man of many facets and talents, it was recently said that Albert could be fixing a roof and an hour later be dressed in a tuxedo addressing a convention with ease. He was as comfortable on the dance floor as in a business meeting discussing finances and investments.
Albert addressed tasks with a drive of perfection that he demanded of himself and expected no less from others. This mentoring often helped many to reach their own pinnacle of success, spreading their wings in a variety of endeavors.
With his quick wit and hearty laugh, Albert was often known for his perfectly timed one liners, always delivered with a twinkle in his eye. He had a unique ability to relate to people and put them at ease with a joke, chuckle and caring heart. Albert was the family member who brought energy to family gatherings and fun to the lives of his children.
He eagerly embraced his Polish Heritage with travels to Poland and his love of Polish food and traditions. He was a member of The Polish National Alliance and participated yearly in the Pulaski Day Parade in Philadelphia.
With his deep faith, love of God and country and belief in community service, Albert eagerly embraced the tenets of The Knights of Columbus. He willingly spent countless hours and boundless energy supporting the organization, its members and its myriad of charities and causes. He was honored to be the Master of the 2nd NJ District and member of Council 2531. His leadership roles with "The Knights" brought many moments of joy and satisfaction to his life, as well as many long-time dear friends. Albert was also a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish.
Albert had a strong commitment to family. The loss of Albert will be keenly felt by his wife, his "Queen", Dorota Sojka-Karwowski children, Allen Welden (Gina), AJ Karwowski and Katherine Karwowski (Martin Kuhn) and beloved grandchildren Zoie Maiorano and Leia Grablow. Additionally, Albert will continue to be held in the hearts of his siblings Barbara Karwowski, Frank Karwowski Jr (Linda), Roberta Porcelli (Michele), and John Barnabei. He is also survived by nieces, Cynthia Dempsey-Graham (Jonathan), Anne Suess-Porcelli (Christine), Mary Porcelli-Mangum (Troy) and nephew Stephen Karwowski (Brandi), as well as grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Albert was predeceased by his parents as well as siblings, John Dempsey, Valerie Karwowski, Michael Karwowski and Louise Karwowski.
Known for his large heart and abundant giving, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the causes close to Albert's heart. The Knights of Columbus, Council 2531, is instrumental in providing philanthropic assistance and support to many aspects of life in our community, among these local food banks and educational scholarships.
