David "Dave" Franceschini Sr. 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Dave was born in 1934 in Vineland where he lived his entire life.

Dave was a dedicated farmer who started farming with his father John and brother Ronald. In 1958, Dave married the love of his life, Lorraine (Debbi) and started their own farm. Then together with David Jr. it became D.E. Franceschini & Son Farms. Dave took pride in seeing his farm grow into a 4th generation family farm which includes grandsons David and John.

A devoted husband and loving father, Dave was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. One of his favorite traditions was the annual SIC summer vacations. Dave possessed many skills from being mechanically inclined to building two homes.

Dave was a member of the Harmony Gun Club, New Italy American Society, St. Joseph's Society, Panther Road Fire Co # 5 and the OLOP Church/Padre Pio Parish.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Lorraine (Debbi) Franceschini; his loving children, David E. Franceschini Jr (Valerie), Debbie Franceschini (Garth) and Denise Battelini (Albert); adored grandchildren, David M. Franceschini Sr. (Lindsay), Amanda Newton (Brian), Rebecca Battelini, Victoria Battelini (Johnny) & John Franceschini (Maria); beloved great-grandchildren, Juliana Franceschini, David Michael Franceschini Jr, Dominic Newton & Andrew Newton; sister, Johanne Venturi; sister-in-law, Marie Franceschini as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John & Anna Franceschini; in-laws, Mike & Marie Debbi; brother, Ronald Franceschini and brother-in-law, Bob Venturi.

A lasting memory instilled in his children and grandchildren's mind, Dad would always say… Try doing it before you say you can't!

A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th from 8am to 10am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Pompeii Cemetery, Vineland.
