Obituary of Helen E. Coia
Helen E. Coia, 93, of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 20th, 2025. She was born on August 20th, 1931, to the late John and Angelina Braidi and grew up on a farm in East Vineland, New Jersey.
She graduated from Vineland High School in 1948. She was a loving wife for 43 years to her husband Paul. They settled down on the Coia homestead farm on Oak Road, both having strong work ethic and deep roots to the land. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She cherished spending time with her family. She found joy in canning, sewing, card games, and her cat companions. As a young girl she loved to attend the hall dances and sing in the church choir.
Helen was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God.
She is survived by her brother John Braidi; four children, Carolyn Franceschini (Daniel), JoAnn Cheli (Edward), Paul Coia Jr. (Elaina), and David Coia (Colleen); 11 grandchildren, Gina Castellini (Anthony), Daniel Franceschini Jr. (Veronica), Jerry Barry (Renee), Paul Coia (Lauren), Douglas Cheli (Nicole), Brittany Barry (Josh), Michael Coia (Kasandra), Dante Coia, Maggie Coia, Emma Coia, Nico Coia; and 10 great grandchildren. Life has been good and her blessings have been many.
Family and friends are invited to a church visitation on Thursday April 24th, 2025, from 9:30am to 11am followed by a funeral mass at 11am from Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
