Obituary of Ronald Semidey

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Ronald Semidey, 65, of Minotola, departed from this earth and into Eternal Rest on January 31, 2025. He was born in Bronx, New York to the late Herman Sr. and Nancy Semidey. The only brother to Herman Semidey Jr. He spent his early years growing up in Carolina, Puerto Rico. A 1977 graduate of Antilles Military Academy, he shortly after started his career in the 156th Wing Division in Carolina, Puerto Rico as a Weapon Control System Specialist. Both for the Air Force and the Air National Guard. From his time in the service, he would represent the attributes he attained in his personality and everyday life. After his retirement in 2002, he relocated himself to St. Louis, Missouri and worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture up until his retirement in 2019.In 2014, he relocated to Minotola to be with his wife and become the stepfather of her children. To many, Ronald was an excellent Bongo and Conga player. He gave himself the nickname "Bongo Master." He would be ready for any opportunity that presented itself to show off his skills. That was his main hobby. He was a lover of cars, Star Wars, Salsa music, and any crime show that was out there. He was an avid watcher of the series Blue Bloods along with his film Top Gun Maverick. He was very passionate in his life about serving his country, wearing an Airforce cap wherever he went. A very great social person, he made friends with mostly everyone he came across and made a great impression on you. He was loved by his family and friends and those around him. He was a funny, heartwarming, and kindhearted individual. He was the beloved husband of Ivette Diaz of 14 years. He being the love of her life. Father to Ronald Patrick and Laiza Semidey. Including a grandfather to a grandchild named Kenzo. Including being the stepfather of Anthony, Erik, and Ivellisse Gil. Ronald is survived by his wife Ivette Diaz; children Ronald Patrick and Laiza Semidey, along with one grandchild named Kenzo; Stepchildren Anthony, Erik, and Ivellisse Gil; His brother Herman Semidey Jr. Along with two nephews and one niece, Christian, Alexander, and Natalie Semidey. From his dear wife Ivette, "I miss you forever and love you forever." "We will miss you always. Until the day we see you again." A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 12pm to 1pm followed by A funeral service at 1:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor.
