Obituary of Louis G. Lupi

It is with heavy hearts we announce the enormous loss of Louis "Louie" G. Lupi, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. Born on July 13, 1951, Louis was a lifelong resident of Minotola. Louie was a 1969 graduate of Vineland High School. A proud member of IBEW Local 351 Electrical Union for 53 years, he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family, even when that commitment required him to relocate to Ohio for several years only returning on periodic weekends to see his family. Upon his retirement, he became a full time caretaker for his mother in law, Hannah Moschetti, whom he developed a special relationship with, until she passed in December of 2023. Louie was more than just a provider; he was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones. Louis dedicated nearly 50 years of marriage to the love of his life, DonnaMarie. The excitement of their new chapter of life with Donna's recent retirement was unfortunately short lived. He was a father to his two daughters Liza and Lacy, who were the apples of his eye. He was a beloved Pop-Pop to Jonathan, Alivia, and Matteo, who brought him endless amounts of pride and joy for the last eight years. He was always ready to drop everything to offer support, love, and laughter. His passion for life extended beyond family. He loved traveling to new places, spending the day on the beach in Ocean City, trying new restaurants, tending to his yard, pool, garden, and fig trees, taking pride in his Italian heritage by making homemade wine and limoncello, his weekly breakfast dates with the Romeos (Retired Old Men Eating Out), frequenting the Elmer Auction, hanging with his local buddies at the American Legion, and spending quality time with friends who became chosen family. A true social butterfly, Louie had an uncanny ability to turn strangers into friends with his charming demeanor and playful sense of humor. He loved to tease those around him, always ready with a joke and a smile. His infectious laughter and love for life created lasting bonds, making every gathering and holiday a memorable occasion. He was always teased by his family about being the "Mayor of Minotola" and everyone that was lucky enough to know him, loved and adored him. As we celebrate the wonderful life of Louie Lupi, we invite all who knew him to remember the laughter, love, and warmth he brought into everyone's lives. He may be gone, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his beloved wife DonnaMarie; his two daughters, Liza Terranova (Nick) and Lacy Brunozzi (Matt); three grandchildren, Jonathan, Aliva, and Matteo; sister Mary Ann Coyle; brother Richard Lupi (Monica); brother-in-law John Moschetti (Carol); nieces and nephews Christine and James Coyle, Giavanna and Rocco Lupi, Jordan and Jonathan Moschetti, and Jessica Marrero; aunts Antoinette "Pitchie" Biller and Jonatha "Jonnie" Franks, and ex son-in-law Jonathan Dimasi, who became the son he never had. He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Severino "Sam" Lupi; his in-laws Hannah "Ann" and John Moschetti; and best friend Frank Gigliotti, who is surely waiting for him with a shot of Limoncello. One of Louie's favorite sayings was, "If you were his friend, then you were his family, but if you were family and his friend, then you were golden". Special thanks to those he held near and dear; Josephine Stagliano, Nello "Butch" and Kathy Comparri, John and Sandy Labo, Al and Dian Priest, Bernadette "Boin" and RJ Anderson, Ron and Gail Dolente, Louis and Chrissy Prata, Arthur and Denise Smaniotto, and Dave and Sharon Ruberti. A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th from 5pm to 8pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ and at the CHURCH on Wednesday, February 5th from 9am to 10am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am from Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newfield.
