Obituary of Robert V. Penza

Robert V. Penza, 76 of Vineland died suddenly Saturday morning at his Ocean City NJ residence. Born and raised in Hammonton, New Jersey , he served in the US Air Force for four years before moving to Vineland, NJ in 1954, after marrying his beloved wife, Theresa. He became General Manager of his father in law's business, Samuel Coraluzzo Co. Inc. and then acquired ownership along with wife Theresa. He was operating as President and CEO of the family business, along with his sons, Robert and Michael. The business grew to be a premier petroleum transporter for most major companies in NJ, PA, DE, and Md, such as Wawa, Exxon/Mobil, Sunoco, Hess and many distributors and commercial accounts. He served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Motor Truck Association. he was a member and on the Board of Directors of the Vineland CEO Group. He was a member of NJ Fuel Merchants Association, and a member of St. Padre Pio Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. In the past ten years, he developed an interest in deep sea fishing after purchasing his sport fishing boat from Viking Yachts. An avid fisherman, he became active and successful in major fishing tournaments along the East Coast and the Bahamas. He was a member of the Ocean City Marlin and Tuna Club. He was also a member of the Hickory Gunning Club.
