Obituary of Elizabeth H Murray

Elizabeth Murray 83, a long time Vineland resident, died January 9 in Philadelphia after a long illness. Mrs. Murray was born and raised in Millville, NJ and was the daughter of Theodore Huntley and Frances Beckett Huntley. She attended Millville schools and was an honor graduate of the High School Class of 1939. In 1943 she married Robert A. Murray of Vineland. Together they operated Murray Industries Inc. on Lincoln Avenue for over 50 years. After her husband's death in 2001 she continued to operate the business until illness forced her to move to Cathedral Village in Philadelphia. She will be remembered by all as a quiet woman of remarkable strength who was devoted to her husband and family. She was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Murray Sr. and her two siblings, Lillian Eddy and Marshall Huntley both of Millville. She is survived by her children Dr. Robert A. Murray Jr. and his wife Sharon Ann Burnston of Epsom NH, Marilyn Murray Hanna and her husband Thomas P. Hanna of Philadelphia PA. Her grandchildren Dr. Theodore M. Murray and his wife Katharine Barnes of Somerville MA, Genevra F. Murray and her husband Mosé Jones-Yellin of Ann Arbor MI, Adah E. Murray of Williamsburg VA, Andrew R. Hanna of Philadelphia PA, and Schuyler D. Erle of Cambridge MA.
